Storytelling for the hearing impaired through Sign Language tours
Sign Language storytelling for the hearing impaired
We work with our clients to create support services for visitors with disabilities. Our multimedia kiosks, maps, audio guides and mobile tours and apps which can all be easily viewed by those in wheelchairs, can transmitt programs for hearing impaired.
When audio is translated for the hearing impaired, the director works with Sign Language experts associated with the National Association for the Deaf. For example, we developed American Sign Language (ASL) and Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpretation for the Coliseum that includes a Sign Language interpreter, written narrative and pictures of the actual artifacts. Our storytelling include subtitles so that people accompanying hearing impaired visitors can also enjoy the museum visit with them.
