Baths of Diocletian. Coming soon: Henry Moore recounted by our videoguides
Twenty years after the last Italian exhibition dedicated to Henry Moore, , a new large solo show of this British artist, one of the revolutionary 20th-century sculptors, is to be presented at the Baths of Diocletian in Rome . The exhibition will be open to the public from 24 September to 10 January 2016 and presents a selection of 75 works, including sculptures, drawings, watercolours and prints, arranged into areas which examine different themes such as the modern age, war and peace, as well as his best-known subjects, the reclining female figure or the mother and child, of which Moore made many versions. Our video guides, created in collaboration with Coopculture, have been chosen to accompany visitors along the whole exhibition itinerary, which is divided into 5 themed areas. They offer a wide-reaching overview of the artist’s technique and creativity. In his works, Moore successfully combined abstractism with an exploration of the human figure. Besides the audio tour of the newly-inaugurated exhibition, visitors will also have at their disposal the video guide for the permanent exhibition of the Baths of Diocletian.
