To satisfy the great number of international cultural tourists who visit the heritage, D’Uva Workshop has developed a tried and tested program for staff selection. Our interviewing process combines the clarity of international communication and intepretation and social accountability with the consideration of our family business.
Staff are selected for characteristics that meet our ideal profile for operators: diploma or degree, knowledge of at least two languages, honesty of character, good manners and social skills, computer knowledge, flexibility and expressiveness, organizational capabilities, suitability in dealing with the public and ability to listen, collaborate with others and rent a good number of audio guides, video guide, mobile tour and multimedia.
A training before starting: renting, multimedia and storytelling
Before employment all staff attend a training program for front desk operators at all levels to create an identical brand identity, working style and pattern. We accomplish this through group lessons, sessions with tutors on-site, and periodic training courses, both in-house and with specialist teachers. This keeps our standards of quality and service vital and up-to-date. The training program includes lessons on the importance of multimedia and storytelling.
Each team working on welcome and reception desks has an area manager who manages the staff and relationships between the staff itself, the clients, the commissioner and head office.
